Hello PNC Family!
Fall is right around the corner, and we are gearing up for this busy time of year. We are relaunching many ministries and activities and invite everyone to participate and to get involved in the life of the church. God is doing big things!
Just as school is starting soon, our Children’s Ministries is also getting ready for the fall, and we need volunteers! Volunteering is a great way to share your experience with the next generation and show them what it means to be a follower of Christ. Sign-ups are available now at the church. We are thankful for the 10 years of ministry leadership that our Children’s Pastor, James and wife Amy, gave to the families of PNC. We pray for deep renewal for them in the coming months.
Group Life is also relaunching this fall. We encourage everyone to get involved with a small group community through Group Life. We believe that this is a great way to grow our relationships with God and with each other. If you would like to join a Group Life community, email Tere at .
As many are aware now, the state has mandated wearing masks indoors. The expectation is that everyone who attends services in-person will wear masks to keep with state mandates. Although this feels like a step backward, we get to decide to focus on praise and worship, because God’s work in our lives does not stop if we have our faces covered.
Work is also happening on the church facility. Carpet replacement will likely begin the middle of October and is expected to take two weeks to complete. To accompany the carpet replacement, we are looking into ways to modernize the Sanctuary stage. We are so excited to see what it looks like when it is finished!
We also want to thank our facilities staff who have kept the carpet and all the rest of the facility in great shape for many years. They do an excellent job!
We have selected a contractor to paint the exterior of the church building. Unfortunately, we are not able to schedule a time before winter arrives. We have been assured that the current exterior paint should last through the winter, so we will continue to maintain and care for the exterior until the spring when we will hopefully begin painting.
The expected cost of the carpet replacement, stage update, and exterior painting is $118,000. If you would like to contribute directly to any of these projects, you can mark “Let’s Do This Initiative,” on your gift.
How greatly do we need God in these times! Remember Haiti, Afghanistan, and those affected by Hurricane Ida in your prayers. God can do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power at work within us! (Eph. 3:20)
